Another west side chiller, Andrew Jackson was born to flow and weave on a BMX, he has an unmatched style in BMX, he follows what he likes and rides exactly how he wants. Just one of the many reasons he fits so well into the WTP team.
Date of birth?
08.23.1987
Where are you from?
Norman, Oklahoma, but I live in Thousand Oaks, CA
Who do you ride for?
wethepeople, Ipath, Lavar, www.thebank.la
Describe your current bike setup in three words.
Bright, Light, Tight
Can you lace a wheel?
Yeah, but it takes me awhile
What got you into riding small kids bikes?
I honestly don't even remember. I've been building jumps and stuff since I was like 7. I never really watched any videos or cared about
any riding besides trails until way later though. Brian Terada used to go with me and my friend Brett and show us street spots and stuff. I think he had a lot to do with me starting to ride street.
How many autographs did you sign?
I think I may have broken into the double digits now. I'd have to call my agent he keeps track of that stuff.
Do you have any interests besides riding?
I'm pretty into filming. Everything else I'll be into for like a month then into something else the next.
BBQ or Veggieburger?!
Bacon cheeseburger with extra cheese & onion rings & bbq sauce
Cigarettes or chewinggum?
Neither, maybe strawberry bubblicious
What do you bring with you when you go out riding?
My phone, my camera, and my bike
Name 5 things you always bring on a roadtrip.
My phone, my wallet, my bike, some clothes and maybe my camera if theres not any other filmers
Places you visited so far.
All over the US mostly from when I used to race motocross. Shanghai, China and Vancouver, Canada
Give me a random party story
I don't really party enough for random stories haha
What would you change in BMX?
I think people need to take more pride in it. It seems like a lot of people do just enough to get by and I mean companies, riders and filmers. I don't think it should be like that. If its something you really love to do you should try to put out something you will be proud of because it represents all of us.
Where do you see BMX in 5 years?
Hopefully still growing and doing well
What inspires you to do what you do on your bike?
Pretty much all of my friends Terada, Eddie C, Chester Blacksmith, Max Gaertig, Brett, Pat Wang, Ashley Charles, Tyler Finnigan, Raul Ruiz, Chris Brown, Larry Avocado, Skyler, Meron, Eman, Boy, Barney, even Miles haha, just whoever does something cool that day. Going to new spots helps a lot too.
Any shout outs?
Everyone I named earlier, My mom and dad I can't thank them enough, My brother, everyone who has ever helped me film or shoot photos or stay at there house or with anything bmx related, Tara, Jeremy and everyone else who builds trails around here.
